Otto Tiles & Design is a contemporary tile company and provider of high end encaustic cement tiles, Moroccan tiles, ceramic tiles, terrazzo tiles, fish scale tiles, Turkish tiles and bespoke tiles, based in London, Zurich and Istanbul.
The goal was to provide customers with a new experience and enable them to experience new products first through AR (Augmented reality) application.
We have handled this process completely from scratch. We asked users to download the app and activate their cameras. We asked if the product to be experienced on the Augmented Reality (AR) screen that opened was located on the wall or on the floor. In the light of this information provided by the user, we made the real square meter calculation between the points where the product was selected, allowing them to experience the product instantly. We added the option to purchase samples for the products that customers like or are curious about, on the application. The application was published in the UK Appstore and Google Play store and marketing activities were carried out in many magazines and press. The goal is to provide access to 1000 users and to obtain a scenario in which 60% of these users buy samples.
We have prepared a CMS panel so that the brand, which has approximately 320 products, can present both new and existing products on the app to its users. Through this panel, the brand; can enter new products instantly, can update prices and content can manage incoming orders can make mailing list according to user data in-app can update banner images. The structure we have established provides the opportunity to do all these easily. During the working process, we worked with 1 project manager, 1 IOS developer, 1 Back-end developer and 1 Product Designer. I have completed all the UX and UI works of the process.
